Technologies Curriculum

The technologies curriculum encompasses student learning in both Design and Technologies as well as Digital Technologies. Our specialist Technologies teacher works with each class weekly.

Students learn to think creatively and practically in Design and Technologies, where they design and make solutions to real-world problems using a range of materials and tools. Students learn how digital systems work in Digital Technologies, where they use logical thinking to create digital solutions, like simple programs or apps, to solve everyday challenges.

1-1 iPad Program

Students at St Mary’s participate in a 1-1 iPad program from Prep to Year 6. This ensures every child has access to their own device to support learning through the curriculum areas along with developing digital literacy skills.

STEM and Robotics

At various times, students may have the opportunity to participate in STEM and Robotics clubs.
