General information
St Mary's is a Parish school, run as a systemic primary school under the auspices of Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE). Our finance is gained from:
- School Fees and Levies
- Government Grants
- P&F fundraising
The general recurrent running expenses of the school are met through school fees and levies.
School Fees and Levies are billed by the school each term on a 14 day account. Various payment options are available. Details may be obtained from the school office. The prompt payment of fees represents part of your commitment to our school and is a condition of enrolment at the school.
Many families make considerable personal sacrifices to send their children to our school. We therefore endeavour to keep the cost to families as low as possible. We are pleased to discuss fee concessions at any time with any family in genuine need or hardship. Please contact the school office for details and more information.

Fees and Levies 2026
Parents & Friends Association Levy
The School's Parents and Friends Association charges families a levy in lieu of other fund raising activities to fund the Association's activities throughout the school year. The levy appears on the quarterly school fees account and is paid through the normal school fees payment options.
Combined Capital Levy
Families are requested to pay a School Levy for the purpose of servicing the capital debt on the school and providing for the maintenance of school buildings. Families who have students at both the Primary school and the College are eligible for Family rates for the Levy so that it is not paid to both schools.
Music Program
Fees for the music program are charged for small group tuition (usually up to four students). An expectation of the program is that all students will, upon reaching appropriate levels of proficiency, participate in either the School Band or String Ensemble. A separate performance fee is charged when students progress to either of these groups. Instrumental music levies appear on the term statements of participating students and are paid through the normal fees payment options. All fees charged in respect to the instrumental music program are directed to funding the salary of the teachers and resource and performance costs of the program.
